An Empire In Trouble

Bush & Obama - Age of Terror is the final episode of the documentary series.

In it,Oliver Stone and his collaborators focuses the wars in both Iraq and Afghanistan during the Bush administration. It presents how many American lives were lost as well as the torture incidents that American soldiers were involved in.As for the conspiracies involved,it also presents the personal motive of Bush was more of a personal vendetta against Saddam Hussein rather than catching the terrorist who are guilty of the September 11 attacks in New York.Added to that,it also tries to portray how the Bush administration tried to manipulate the terror warnings to the Americans to fulfill their political motives.

After Bush finished his term, the ascendancy of President Barack Obama was also presented.Although there wasn't much discussion about the events of his term as President,it nevertheless showed how he did not much for the American people with regards to the improvement of the economy.Stone said that CEO's increased their income exponentially and many of the Americans suffered a lot by losing wealth in the economic difficulties that they are suffering during the Great Recession. Also,Stone was somewhat disappointed too to the inaction of the Americans despite of the sufferings that they are experiencing in these tough economic times.

The last episode was definitely informative.Just like the others, there was also a lot of propaganda involved as Stone was definitely against the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as the economic difficulties that the nation is suffering.I just hope that Americans who saw this episode and the documentary as a whole would realize that the nation is in trouble with its endless involvement in wars abroad and the economic situation that it is in currently.
