This episode sees Frank in Toronto where he is to pick up a package from a local security company. He isn't the only person after it though; a local businessman has sent goons disguised as security guards to steal the package from him. These goons attack shortly after Frank leaves the vault, killing a couple of real security guards in the process. Frank gets the better of them but ends up handcuffed to a third guard who believes he must be the criminal
this being The Transporter the guard is a rather attractive blonde; Darcy Daniels, known to her now dead colleagues as 'Double D'. He quickly persuades her that he is the good guy but the key has been lost so they must find a way to cut the cuffs and get through a fight or two together. Once separated Frank learns that the person he is meant to be taking the package to is dead. He opens the package and discovers a chip detailing the businessman's involvement in the brutal trade in blood diamonds.
This is a decent enough episode with the fights and car chases we have come to expect from this series. Having Frank handcuffed to Darcy made the fights a bit more interesting. Many of the fights are intercut with scenes from an ice hockey match that is being watched by the corrupt businessman. At first this device seemed imaginative and quite amusing but I thought it was somewhat over-used and even detracted from the action. I don't know if it is just a one off or whether somebody decided to tone things down but this episode seemed rather tame compared to early instalments; there was no nudity and little in the way of strong language
of course some people will see this as a change for the better. Overall a solid enough episode with plenty of entertaining action.
