Corvadt bosses authorize Arby to go on a killing spree at Grant's school, for which he is framed, going on the run with Jessica, who tells him she saw her father murdered when she was ten. However they are forced to give the manuscript to Arby after he has killed Alice's mother and escape to join the others. They contact Mrs Milner, who tells them that the manuscript contains the identity of a notorious assassin known as Mr Rabbit, as well as informing them that Jessica's father, Philip Carvel, believed in racial purity. After learning that Anya has been framed for Kaye's murder Dugdale seeks out food analyst professor Donaldson and uncovers a sinister camp which appears to be a testing ground for germ warfare. However his ministry colleague Geoff makes him surrender the evidence. Written by don @ minifie-1

The Network sinks to a new low
31 January 2013 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

Three episodes in and The Network sink to a new low in their attempt to get there hands on Grant and the manuscript; hit-man Arby stages a shooting at his school for which he is framed. With everybody in the country looking for him Jessica changes his appearance before heading to Alice's house to try to get the manuscript before The Network can get to it. Wilson, Becky and Ian meanwhile make contact with an MI-5 operative, named Milner, who appears to be ready to help them. Finally Michael Dugdale heads to Fetlar in an attempt to get evidence of what is going on there.

The opening scene was quite shocking; especially given that at the time the show aired it wasn't long after an horrific school shooting in Connecticut; thankfully we didn't actually see anything too unpleasant involving children. The more we learn about The Network the more disturbing it sounds; the mysterious 'Rabbit' who is apparently identified in the manuscript is starting to come across like Keyser Soze from 'The Usual Suspects'; nobody knows what he looks like and anybody who finds out is eliminated. As in previous episodes there are some fairly gory moments... although anybody who didn't give up after the torture scene in episode one is unlikely to be too disturbed. Overall another good episode that left me keen to see what happens next.
