Storyline

After he and his assistant Soojin have an argument resulting in her quitting/he firing her, Booth asks Marnie to take what was supposed to be Soojin's place in co-hosting a party with him. Marnie sees this as a big step in their relationship as it will be the first big event they will host as a couple. A post-party discussion between the two reveals Booth's perspective. As Hannah doesn't want to see Adam, Ray has to go to Adam's himself to retrieve a book of his that Hannah left there. Ray and Adam end up focusing on another joint mission, which gives them time to commiserate about dealing with the opposite sex. Hannah is offered an e-book deal. Getting started on it is more difficult than she thought it would be. Written by Huggo

Quotes

Adam Sackler: She's like a carnival game, you know? It all seems so simple but you can't get the ring on the bottle because it's fucking rigged so you try and try and try until you drive yourself nuts. Then, finally, when you walk away you realize you didn't even want the crappy prize to begin with. I realize that's what Hanna is: a giant Tweety doll I would've been stuck carrying around the carnival all night.

Girl Boys
18 February 2013 | by (Ireland) – See all my reviews

With the past episodes really focusing on Hannah and her life this episode was more about boys after the name of the episode. Ray and Adam scenes were fun and lately what Lena has done with Ray has been such a great job to make him a more relate able character. These men were on Statton Island for most of the episode but going back to New York City we got to see Hannah and Marine who have seemed apart lately but in this episode we really see how the two art not that different belonging to their own worlds while in crumbles around them and they must lie to each other. This episode was a step down from the past two episode but still I did find it funny to watch just for my undying love for the show. While I loved Adam last season this year he has been underused and when on the show seems quite crazy to me allowing an actor like Alex Karpovsky to shine as the best man on the show even though the show is really about the women of the show as we see their life's. Hannah writing an e-book also seems quite cool just to end this review.

EPISODE GRADE: B (MVP: Alex Karpovsky)
