Barry Al-Fayeed has been living in the United States for twenty years, during which time he got married to Molly Olson, and had two children (Sammy and Emma), with both Molly and he working as physicians, Barry as a pediatrician, in Pasadena. This life belies the fact that at age sixteen, he, under his given name Bassam, escaped his family life in the middle eastern country of Abuddin, where the Al-Fayeeds have been the dictatorial rulers for generations, normally of violent and repressive regimes which he could not morally tolerate. 'tyrant' is a excellent TV series. It has been updated to the sixth episode and it so attractive that I can't wait to see the next episode. Ang lee said the script was the best he had ever seen and it's such a pity that he couldn't do the job. But the director has done a amazing job and the actors give an impressive performance. it is worth spending 45 minutes every week. For people who live in the socialism society, Barry Al Fayeed's job that persuading his brother to open the free election seem to be a brave experiment which is only a fantasy. After all, it's a good try at least. I have seen the script and don't know what will happen next. Does this country really have its own democracy? the reality is that all the dictators in the Arab world have the receive western education when they are young, but when they go back to their mother land they still insist on this dictatorship, such as the president of DPRK, the Assad etc. I suspect the thing go too successfully.
