The Alabama boys of "Bamazon" ran into a real problem on the latest installment of their quest for gold in the Amazon. When a barge got stuck on a rock, crewman Chris Gamble saw no other solution than to try and dislodge it manually. To do so he had to jump in the water, and the narration made sure to let viewers know what was in there with him.
Chris was swimming with the vampire fish. "They’re said to attack human males by swimming up the urethra and lodging themselves there," the narrator said.
But that wasn't the only danger Chris faced in that situation. "If the barge had shifted while Chris was between the barge and the rock it could have pieced him in half," crew boss Tim Evans said.
"I didn't come here to die," Chris said. He came for the gold, but clearly it's not going...
