Did You Know?

Second episode in the entire series to feature an incomplete study group. Chevy Chase left the show after shooting the finale, Community: Advanced Introduction to Finality (2013), out of order, after which this episode was shot. His absence is explained as Pierce donating his kidney to his brother Gilbert to get out of the history final. Chase returned a week later for the last episode shot, the puppet episode Community: Intro to Felt Surrogacy (2013), by giving his voice to puppet Pierce. See more »

It Felt Like A Series 2 Episode
5 May 2013 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

All Community watchers know that series 4 has been a letdown. The jokes have been obvious and usually weak unlike the wit and unexpectedness of series 1,2 and 3, also I think that the characters aren't behaving like they usually do-for example Troy would never date Britta which may sound a bit pompous considering that the writer who thought that up was part of the original series 1 team, but I think that that was one of the worst parts about the whole 12 episodes so far. Right, rant over. This weeks episode Heroic Origins was actually one of the best things I have seen on TV in a long time. Which was a surprise considering last weeks story Basic Human Anatomy was pretty damn good as well. The jokes were strong, the story line was clever and it was finally revealed whether Senor Chang or "Kevin" as he has been called since episode 4. Although the series finale looks a bit crazy if the dean of City College is planning to use a giant robotic spider to (probably) destroy Greendale.
