Eli Roth's The Green Inferno has found new life at Blumhouse. Originally scheduled to come out last year from Open Road, Roth's cannibal horror film will instead hit the big screen this September courtesy of Blumhouse.

Announced via video by Roth on his Facebook page, The Green Inferno will hit theaters on September 25th.

“How far would you go for a cause you believe in? In horror master Eli Roth’s terrifying new film, a group of college students take their humanitarian protest from New York to the Amazon jungle, only to get kidnapped by the native tribe they came to save: a tribe that still practices the ancient rite of cannibalism, and has a healthy appetite for intruders.”

According to reports, this will be released under Blumhouse label Bh Tilt, along with Universal Pictures and High Top Releasing. The Green Inferno is expected to be released on 1,000 screens »
