A rep for the 37-year-old Oscar winner tells Et, "I can confirm that Kate Winslet married Ned Rock'nRoll in NY earlier this month in a private ceremony attended by her two children and a very few friends and family." The rep added that Kate and Ned got engaged over the summer.

• CBS’s How I Met Your Mother will return for a ninth season, ensuring that the sitcom will definitely overstay its already wavering welcome.
• AMC continues its dismal relationships with showrunners as The Walking Dead’s Glen Mazzara got the boot. This means that the zombie drama will be getting its third showrunner within four seasons — that’s a lot of creative disconnect.
• ABC shelved the rest of Vanessa Williams and Terry O’Quinn’s canceled 666 Park Avenue until summer and is filling in the extra hour on Sunday with new episodes of Happy Endings and Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23. »

Rider Strong might not be returning for "Girl Meets World," but that's because he's got bigger plans on the horizon. The "Boy Meets World" star just got engaged to his girlfriend, actress Alexandra Barreto.
"I asked on December 23rd, while her parents were visiting for the holidays," Strong says in a statement to Zap2it. "I took her for a walk under the redwoods on the property where I grew up in Northern California. It was pouring rain, but it didn't look like it was going to stop anytime soon, so I just decided to go for it."
Barreto said yes, but little did she know what she was getting. Strong made the ring he proposed with himself, and as you can see in the image below it was one-of-a-kind.
"I spent weeks making the ring in secret," he says. "I found an old-school jeweler who works out of his »

The ‘Boy Meets World’ star popped to the question to his long-time girlfriend the day after Christmas.
Somewhere, Angela Moore is weeping. Rider Strong, who played the eternally perfect-haired Shawn Hunter on Boy Meets World, is officially engaged. Toofab confirms that Rider, 33, proposed to girlfriend Alexandra Barreto on Dec. 26 — with a ring he designed himself! (Now that’s something Shawn Hunter would never do… mostly because he was way too poor.)
According to the site, Alexandra’s custom engagement ring consists of three diamonds and a gold band.
Congrats to the happy couple!
Rider may be best known for playing Shawn on the classic ABC sitcom, but even though he retired that role in 2000, he’s far from retired in his own career. Along with a slew of movies, Rider also had several high-profile TV roles.

Shawn Hunter, er, Rider Strong has found his soulmate (sorry, Angela). The former Boy Meets World star is now engaged to longtime girlfriend Alexandra Barreto, E! News confirms. The show ran from 1993 to 2000, and news that Disney is making a sequel series, "Girl Meets World," on which Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel will reprise their roles as Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence, has everyone excited.
