Storyline

Joe Carroll's escape has sent the FBI into something of a frenzy and Nick Donovan has been assigned to lead the investigation. He and Ryan try to interview David, Carroll's acolyte shot by Ryan, but that doesn't go very well. In his new residence meanwhile, Carroll is getting used to his surroundings and meeting some of the followers he had not yet met. Roderick arrives to welcome him and the central question is how to find Joe's wife, Claire, who is in protective custody. They target one of the FBI agents. Charlie pays the price for his failures. The gathering of Joe's lunatic fringe takes place on this large estate. We have someone sacrifice himself for the cause.

Joe Weston is the latest victim of this crazed cult. By the episode's end, he is in the hospital in very critical condition. Only the writers shall decide if he will continue in this very eerie series.

The new chief seems to be putting Ryan in his place. His eyes make me think of being suspicious of him.

Emma wants to go all the way with Joe and by the end of this episode she has succeeded in her purpose. Joe professes love for his wife but finally submits to the bed with Emma.
