Bloom to kick off pre-sales on action-thriller in Cannes.

Bloom has launched talks with international buyers here on action-thriller Three Seconds with a reconfigured cast of Joel Kinnaman, Rosamund Pike, Common and Clive Owen.

Andrea Di Stefano directs the story based on the Swedish bestseller by Anders Roslund and Börge Hellström.

Thunder Road PicturesBasil Iwanyk and Erica Lee are producing alongside Wayne Marc Godfrey, Robert Jones, Mark Lane, James Harris and Ollie Madden of The Fyzz Facility, which is now financing the project and represents Us rights.

Thunder Road’s Jonathan Fuhrman and Magnolia Entertainment’s Shelley Browning serve as executive producers.  

Matt Cook adapted the screenplay with revisions by Rowan Joffé and Alex Garland with current revisions by Distefano.

Three Seconds follows a reformed criminal and former special ops soldier who goes undercover for the FBI on a mission to bust a Polish drug gang.

Cannes: Rosamund Pike, Clive Owen, Joel Kinnaman to Star in Action Thriller ‘Three Seconds’

Robocop” star Joel Kinnaman and Oscar-nominated actors Rosamund Pike and Clive Owen are set to star in action thriller “Three Seconds” for Basil Iwanyk’s Thunder Road Pictures and The Fyzz Facility. Bloom has boarded the project to handle international sales and will introduce it to buyers at the Cannes Film Festival. Rapper-turned-actor Common also stars.

Directed by Andrea Di Stefano, whose last film was “Escobar: Paradise Lost” with Benicio Del Toro, “Three Seconds” stars Kinnaman as a reformed criminal and former special ops soldier, working undercover for crooked FBI handlers to infiltrate the Polish mob’s drug trade in New York, who must return to prison to protect his identity as a mole and earn his freedom to return to his wife and daughter.

Paris-based sales company WTFilms has boarded Yoshihiro Nishimura’s SXSW-bound “Meatball Machine Kodoku” and James Mark’s English-language action-thriller “On the Ropes

Meatball Machine Kodoku” marks the reboot of the cult pic “Meatball Machine,” which turns on alien parasites turning humans into monstrous killing machines called necro-borgs. Nishimura is a renowned makeup effects supervisor (“Shin Godzilla,” “Machine Girl,” “Yakuza Weapon,” and “Dead Sushi”).

WTFilms and King Records will co-repesent “Meatball” at international markets.
