Excellent show and all but one of the specialists are interesting and articulate.
Great insights into our ancestry and social history as well as migration etc.
Many, although not all, of the sites examined are in mainland Europe....Spain and France being the major ones although Great Britain features in one segment.
As I said, the only fly in the ointment is one of, and sadly, the main presenter named Alice.
She gets the privilege of doing the out-of-country visits while the others stay and do their respective jobs.
By herself she's fairly interesting and articulate but unfortunately she, like the conversation hijacker you ALL must know ( don't we all have one in our group? ), just CAN'T resist butting in as someone else is talking and essentially hijacking the conversation.
By the 50th time it is positively ANNOYING and how the others can NOT let her know is well beyond me.
BUT....it's a great programme and here's a trick to make it more enjoyable and entertaining...... simply MUTE HER when she cuts off anyone who is trying to complete their thought, you'll DEFINITELY enjoy the show more.
Alice my dear......listen to others and please RESIST the desire to show your most IMMEDIATE thought by letting others have a chance to finish theirs first.
