Quotes

Wendell: Looks like the incident of January 10th is not covered under Acts of God.
Mike Heck: What?
Frankie Heck: What? A tree branch fell down on our car. How is that not an Act of God? Tree - made by God, blown down by the wind - more God. That's actually double Act of God. We should be getting two checks.

The Middle Life Skills
13 January 2013 | by (Ireland) – See all my reviews

Axl is just having a normal day at school but when Sue joins his class it feels like his world has just ended. The two go home complaining but are told to just get along. Then the front of the car is smashed by a fallen car. Brick after being followed for some time is made go to the school therapist who for free is trying to help Brick make friends. Somehow on a school project Sue and Axl become partners, when Sue wants to start straight away Axl does not because he thinks projects can be done the night before. Brick takes more of his sessions but every attempt he tires to make friends does not go well which shows the therapist failing at his job. Sue continues to do her project and Axl really does nothing to help her. Frankie and Mike have applied to get their car fixed but are told through mail that their car cannot be fixed. Brick practices more in his sessions but when there are more failures he just asks what is the point of trying ti get along with kids. Sue somehow forgot her school project by brining the bad attempt by Axl. Axl somehow is the one to save the day by calling in all his connections to recreate the project which turns out so well for the both of them. Mike and Frankie visit their banker and find out the three failing was not an act of god but because of inporper tree trimming. Brick talks to the therapist once again who has to ask Brick to keep up with the sessions so he can keep his job. Brick agrees to this agreement and the lesson we learn in this episode was life skills people can learn. OK episode with not much to write about because nothing really special happened or was written.

EPISODE GRADE: C (MVP: Charlie McDermott)
