When Kenya is poisoned by holding a flask in her hand, it is reminiscent of how Mandy the Terrorist poisoned David Palmer by wearing a strip of poison in the palm of her hand and shaking the President's hand in the Season 2 finale of 24. Mia Kirshner played both Kenya and Mandy. See more »

When Jonah holds Tommy at gunpoint, Irisa comes out of hiding saying, "No more shooting." Jonah then holsters his pistol. As Irisa and Nolan walk downhill to meet him, Jonah is shown holstering his pistol again. See more »

Datak Tarr: I've worked hard to take control of this town, to win respect, and in one reckless act, you've trivialized me. Come morning, every soul in this town will be asking themselves, "Who's running the place, Datak Tarr or the Earth Republic?"
Colonel Galen Marsh: Yes, well, as I say, you will be compensated.
Datak Tarr: Yes, Castithans love money, can't get enough of it. Amusing. Now, I strongly suggest you dig deep and afford me some courtesy.
Colonel Galen Marsh: You are one uppity little haint. You know, after all of this is over, you're going right ...

A bit of a rush in more ways than one
10 July 2013 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

The only criticism I would have about this season finale is it should have been a two hour episode. The pacing of this episode made it seem rather rushed. I won't go into detail so as not to spoil anything. I'd say this episode was a lot of fun but the previous one, "Past is Prologue," was much better, and set things up rather nicely.

I would think the writers will sit down over the next year and dwell further into the mythology surrounding the Votans. More interaction between the television series and the game is to be expected, as well as plugging a few additional plot holes. I'm sure we'll see more new characters and villains, characters returning (some in flashbacks) and a few leaving in order to advance the story. I very much look forward to Season 2 of Defiance.
