Storyline

Countryside sheriff Jake Miller found a suspicious corpse, which the 'FBI' brothers decide to investigate. It's a participant in a fantasy role play (LARP) which takes to the field most weekends. They find old acquaintance Gilda, who made a new life there, is queen of one of the six parties, and hers suffered several victims in earlier suspicious accidents. Dean goes undercover as her bodyguard; indeed the killer strikes again and proves supernatural. Written by KGF Vissers

Fun episode with sense of zest
20 August 2013 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

In between the more angst-ridden episodes in the recent seasons of Supernatural, this episode comes as a breath of fresh air.

One begins to see how well Sam and Dean work together when the different emotional and relationship problems are firmly placed outside their own friendship and concern for each other.

The setting is fun and ties into the fantasy fan worlds and fans of the series. The story is funny and frantic, containing a couple of gory deaths and the welcome return of an old friend who complements the two brothers. It's great to see Sam and Dean entering into the spirit of the adventure in more ways than one.
