Very good featurette about the making of PHENOMENA, the 1985 Dario Argento film. Argento is interviewed here as well as other cast and crew members including Franco Fernini, Daria Nicolodi, Fiore Argento, Romano Albani, Sergio Stivaletti and Luigi Cozzi. Argento starts things off talking about how he originally got the idea for the film and then he hits other subjects including working with the insects as well as what it was like working with Jennifer Connelly (who, no shock, isn't interviewed here). Nicolodi talks about how she was worried about her scene with the monkey and why she thought the director might not be taking care of her. There are some great stories told about working with the insects as well as how certain special effects were done. For some reason Argento or the crew never talk about working with Donald Pleasence. At just under 20-minutes there's no question that this is a very entertaining look at the making of the film and I'm sure fans will enjoy it. I do wish that the alternate version, CREEPERS, would have been discussed.
