With Mickey away, Marshall and Lily are happy that Ted, who is between jobs now that the GNB building is completed, can sit with baby Marvin. They regret their decision to let Ted take this job as he goes a little overboard, depriving Marshall but especially Lily the joys of being Marvin's parents. Meanwhile, Lily has noticed that Robin is acting like a giddy schoolgirl whenever she's around Barney. Confronting Robin about the issue, Lily figures out it's because now that she has broken it off with Barney, Robin wants what she can't have. Robin knows what she has to do to get Barney out of her system, and has to figure out a way to achieve her goal. In her quest, Robin doesn't notice that Barney is on a quest of his own, all starting from a seemingly innocent incident of spilling ketchup on one of his favorite ties. Written by
