- Nick is shocked about Juliette's infidelity, which she can't explain, yet sort of accepts it and ends up moving out to his heritage trailer. Monroe realizes from a TV appearance that Juliette's partner, who ordered an obsession cure, is none other than Police Captain Sean Renard and ends up telling Nick. Meanwhile Adalind and a pack of canine Wesen almost hunt down Renard for the key, and he locates Nick's trailer after allowing him to lock up Adalind.—KGF Vissers
- Monroe catches Juliette making out with Renard. "Oh boy," he mutters. Juliette, looking guilt stricken, rushes out of the potions shop. Renard, angry, heads back to work and blows off all his coworkers. Nick gets a call from Juliette. They need to talk the moment he gets off work. Then Monroe calls Nick. "I think we should probably meet face to face," Monroe says. So Nick is now double booked. Later, two leather-clad bikers arrive at a swanky hotel, show the markings on their hands as a form of ID and enter Adalind's room. "Tell me everything you know about the captain and his new love," Adalind says.
Nick goes to Monroe's house. Monroe spills the bad news that Juliette was making out with a customer in the spice shop. "I'm sorry, man," Monroe says. "I think there's a possibility this has something to do with the spell Adalind put on her." Nick, hurt and angry, doesn't buy it. He returns home to a crying Juliette. "I'm having feelings for another man and I don't know why," she says. Nick decides he doesn't want to know the identity of the mystery man before leaving the house and slamming the door. Adalind shows up at Hank's house and attempts to apologize to the detective. He isn't buying it. Adalind implies that Nick had something to do with her mother's death. Hank isn't buying that either. She leaves and Hank goes inside, only to be attacked by two hexenbiests.
Later, Adalind confronts Renard, who has been brought to her hotel by the leather clad thugs. She implies that she not only talked to Eric, but had sex wth him. "Not much of an accomplishment, really," Renard deadpans. Adalind then explains that Renard has 48 hours to get the key from Nick. "If not, the Grimm will be told your identity -- royal and otherwise. Not to mention that you tried to murder his aunt," she says. "Get us the key." The next morning, Wu calls Nick with news: Hank's place is trashed and he is injured. Nick goes immediately to the hospital where Hank explains that Adalind visited moments before the attack. "She thinks you had something to do with her mother's death," he says. Counters Nick: "I think Adalind had something to do with you being beat up. I have something she wants." Nick goes to work and tells Renard about Adalind's return. He plays dumb, but encourages Nick to track the woman down and put her away.
Speaking of, Adalind soon shows up at Nick's front door and confronts Juliette. Later, Nick heads home and finds his memory-challenged fiancée missing. He does, however, find Monroe in the house. "Are we too late?" he asks. It would look like it. Turns out Juliette and Adalind are having coffee together. Juliette explains that all the strangeness in her life started when she was scratched by Adalind's cat. Adalind plays dumb. Back at the office, Nick asks Wu to put a trace on Juliette's cell phone. Nick then tells Renard that Juliette is seeing someone else, but he doesn't know whom. Renard is relieved. "Sometimes these things have a way of working themselves out," the captain says. Wu returns with news: Juliette is at a local coffee shop, where Adalind asks probing questions about Nick and his aunt. Juliette happens to mention the trailer. Adalind asks about its location, and Juliette tells her it is in a storage yard. Adalind's eyes light up. Juliette's cell phone rings. It's Nick. He asks to speak to Adalind. "If you've got some time, why don't you come on by," Adalind tells the Grimm. So he does, with other police, and Adalind is arrested.
Back at the station, Nick questions Adalind on her whereabouts the day her mother was killed. Adalind quickly turns the conversation back to Juliette -- just to rile the detective. She then starts to talk about her employers, who have their hands "in a lot of pies," and references keys a few times. It is a clear threat and Nick understands what she wants, but plays dumb in front of Renard, viewing them from behind the glass (who also knows exactly what Adalind wants). Later, Nick calls Monroe and tells him to investigate Adalind's hotel room. "Be careful," Nick says. Says Monroe: "I think the time for being careful is over." Renard then visits Adalind in her cell. She mentions the existence of Nick's mystery trailer. "Don't you think that would be a great place to hide a key?" she asks. Renard makes a call, telling his contact to find the trailer as soon as humanely (or inhumanly) possible. Nick goes to the trailer and retrieves the key and some weapons. Monroe soon arrives, explaining that four hexenbiests have followed him from the hotel. Nick soon confronts the beasts, demanding to know who beat up Hank. A furious fight ensues. Nick defeats all the beasts, who all die before they can reveal to Nick and Monroe who sent them.
Nick goes to Adalind's jail cell and demands answers. She admits that she killed his aunt, but says that she was put up to it by a royal who is living in town. Adalind will identify the royal as soon as Nick hands over the key. He declines. Nick returns home and tells Juliette that he is leaving. He goes to Monroe's house with suitcase in hand. "I've got the spare room all made up," Monroe says. Monroe then shows Nick something he recorded on the DVR. It's an old crime report on the TV news showing Renard at a press conference. That's the man Adalind was kissing, Monroe explains. Nick is shocked. "To Be Continued ... sorry"
