While the BBFC has relaxed in terms of demanding to remove scenes that show the usage of Asian combat weapons or headbutts in movies, it is still very strict when it comes to enforcing its guideline regarding animal cruelty. While the most common case is the removal of scenes in mostly Asian movies that show horses falling to the ground, there are other contexts in which this rule is enforced. In Ninja: Shadow of a Tear, two brief shots of an unsimulated cockfighting had to be cut out so that the film could be distributed in the UK. Apart from that, it is completely uncensored. A detailed comparison between both versions with pictures can be found here.
