A friendly overcoming melodrama
9 August 2015 | by (Spain) – See all my reviews

"De Toutes Nos Forcejes" is a kind of overcoming melodrama, but with little cinematic value. Adventure explains undertaking a father and son who suffers from cerebral palsy, to join a test called "Ironman" triathlon that wild consisting of 3.86 km swim, 180 km cycling and 42.2 km run foot, having to cover the three stages within a time limit of 17 hours. The epic tone test is used as an excuse to extol the human value in its ability to overcome the physical barriers that fate has marked us.

The film is faithful to his initial idea from the beginning and film works as a nice desktop, the kind that make us believe that everything in life is achieved with effort and love, even the most difficult feats, something that is always welcome in our more pessimistic moments. Because this victory is not cross the finish line first is simply reaching goal, the challenge of normal people like the young Michael Douglas in 'Running' (Steven Hilliard Stern, 1979) where the key is to fight to prove to others and likewise it is capable of something that no one trusts. Here also the melodramatic component that occurs feat by a young man with disabilities is added, so little can be said against the film without being considered politically incorrect.

The film has a familiar message, the career is more than a struggle to regain the love parent-child forgotten where the lamentations had hidden the ability to accept reality. But beyond all these good feelings shamelessly exposed, Nils Tavernier, son of the great filmmaker Bertrand Tavernier, shows a stylistic personality or anything remarkable in its staging, using only the spontaneity of Fabien Héraud (actor with psycho-motor disorder as his character) and the charismatic presence of Jacques Gamblin.
