It seems that way, the way he depicts them on his show. Either that or he shows them in a more realistic way than most of Hollywood.
Almost all the characters on the show that are female are giant hypocrites!
Chelsea was one. Despite being engaged (!), she started dating another guy, never once thinking how it might affect Charlie. So despite him basically being single (and his quick wedding with the stripper), it seems he wasn't allowed to move on.
Chelsea had shown that she's a petty character in another episode when her ex gets re-married and she is upset that he is over her and not miserable, like she wishes.
So what happens to her and Charlie? He has a fling with her best friend and she uses it as a reason to not get back together with him. Not only that, but she just expects him to take her back when her new relationship doesn't work out. Talk about spoiled and conceited!
Zoey is basically doing the same thing here. Although she quicky introduced Peter to Ava (remember how she hid Walden from her?) and seems to live with him, she is outraged when Walden dared to move on and didn't commit suicide.
I know this is a sitcom and all, but sadly, I often noticed such behaviour in real life. It worries me that Hollywood shows that men should not only accept such behaviour, but actually apologize for the selfishness of those women.
