Storyline
Plot Summary |
Inspired by real events, THE LAST EXECUTIONER is the incredible true story of Chavoret Jaruboon, the last person in Thailand whose job it was to execute by gun - a wild rock and roller who took a 'respectable' job to support the family he loved devotedly, then constantly tried to reconcile the good and bad karma that came from his decision. It is a story of life at its most beautiful and death at its most surreal. Written by Anonymous |

Did You Know?
Trivia | The main execution weapons seen in the film are the M1A1 Thompson submachine gun for earlier periods, and then the Heckler and Koch HK33 assault rifle for later times. The HK33 in this instance appears to be of native Thai manufacture. See more » |
Goofs | Both of the main execution weapons depicted on screen were never used as such in real life. The one that the younger Chavoret uses in his early career is the American World War II-era M1A1 Thompson submachine gun in the film, but these should have been the older, World War I-era German Bergmann MP18 submachine gun, instead. As for Chavoret's later career as an executioner, he is shown using the Thai-made 'Type 11' assault rifle, a direct copy of the Heckler and Koch HK33, but this, too, is inaccurate. The newer weapon that replaced the MP18 as the execution weapon in real life was the Heckler and Koch MP5SD3, also a German submachine gun. See more » |
