After insurance broker Lloyd Kurtzman's employee Tessa is murdered at home, evidence piles up, all pointing at Castle, who denies knowing her, let alone having had an affair. Trivia

In an early scene at the precinct, when Castle offers Beckett a cup of coffee, she is too distracted by the file she's reading to accept it, so he has to physically take her hand and put it around the cup handle. See more »

Goofs

Lanie determines that Tessa's killer was wearing gloves because of talcum powder found on Tessa's body, and likens them to the gloves Beckett and company use at crime scenes. CSI/CSUs don't use talcum powder in their gloves, because of the potential for cross-contamination of the scene. See more »

Quotes

Javier Esposito: Beckett and Castle? Wh... well... when did they start?
Kevin Ryan: I'm not sure, but I know they were together that weekend in the Hamptons.
Javier Esposito: Why wouldn't she tell us?
Kevin Ryan: I guess she was afraid Gates would find out and use NYPD regs to give Castle the boot. I was gonna keep it a secret myself, but under the circumstances...
Javier Esposito: Normally, I'd be happy for them.
Kevin Ryan: Yeah. Hey, you don't really think that Castle had anything to do with this, do you?
Javier Esposito: No. Come on, man, he's my friend, too. The best thing we can do is try ...

Just when you thought it couldn't get any better
30 October 2012 | by See all my reviews

Aside from the great character development of this series, this time I have to hand it to John Terlesky and his directing. This episode began rather slowly and I found myself thinking, for the first time, the series was really starting to get old and predictable. Then it happened, Great directing, acting, and story telling that keeps you plastered to the tube! This has got to be one of the very best episodes. I loved the series Firefly and followed Nathan Fillion to Castle, albeit 2 years after it premiered. Obviously, I wasn't expecting that same magic. I am happy to say that this series really invests in the characters. In turn, you can't help but find yourself investing in them too. If you are new to Castle, I highly recommend that you start watching from the beginning and catch up. You will not be disappointed!
