The whole realism theme had already been compromised by that little thing between Sherman and his partner, which was carried on for too long .
And now , in this one single episode, the whole series turns around by 180 with a single outrageous, unrealistic plot, that fits nothing the series has tried so hard to create and maintain over the years .
This episode wasn't about cops, their daily work and challenges, and background on their personal life and the people the deal with, on and off duty .
Started well as usual, and I expected the Sherman thing might be solved along the way, without much hoopla. But the writers just had to turn it into a very different scenario, that I think is preceding not only this season's finale , but rather a wrap for the entire show .
