Saattai
msathishkumar0327 September 2012
The story of the film is about a teacher, who is unhappy with our education system, facing hurdles on his way when he tries to change the things forever. Dayalan (Samuthirakani) is a newly appointed teacher of a school in village. When he lands in the school, the situation raises a lot of questions on him and pushes him to bring in some changes.

This based on a real story happening in Tamilnadu Government schools.

It seems like movies on education and its reforms have become a favorite subject for Indian filmmakers of late. In the recent times, all the major film industries of India have produced movies related to our education system. Vijay's Nanban is a classic example of it. Now, M Anbazhagan's Saattai is the latest movie on the same subject.

This movie is depict the status of government schools in India. It speaks about the concerns of the students and the action to be taken. This is a state of the art movie, and a live sample of the education system in India and how it has to be designed. It is a story of a government school teacher Dhayalan (Samuthirakani) who is trying to bring the best from the students of a government school where he joined recently and make the school to believe with-in and grow inside. He is planting the confidence in all students and teachers and making everyone to work hard to prove themselves. The dialogs and the screen play is really awesome and powerful! This movie plants confidence and making the students to strive to reach the goal. Similar to all other movies, we have a Villon in this movie. Thambi Ramaiyah played this role (as Singam Perumal) very effectively. He is from the same village and working as an assistant head master (vice principal) of the school, trying to block all efforts of the new teacher to keep the power with himself. At one point he try to kill the teacher. But our hero planted a positive thinking on him and asking him to take care and lead the school. The characterization of the teacher (Samuthirakani) is similar to Che-Guevara! Che went to all places where there is a need to fight for the goodness. Similarly, the teacher is traveling to different schools willingly and trying to bring the best from the students and the teachers! This is a must watch movie! A good lesson to all students as well as teachers for how to behave and live as an example to the students!! When coming out from the theater, everyone feel satisfied and willing to do good to the society.

Must Watch for everyone

This movie is about a meticulous teacher who is transferred to one of the Indian Government School. He encourages the students in the school and gets the best out of students. He finds the problems that exists in the other teachers and go against them. He gets support from principal and formulates new stricter rules for teachers. This aggravates other teachers to go against him even more. He also heads cultural and sport events and helps the school get a good recognition and confidence to the principal and students. He faces pressure from other teachers and the rest of the movie is how he handles them. Overall it's a very good movie with extremely good screenplay, that keeps the viewers completely occupied throughout the movie.
