Would have made a good series finale
LoveIsAStateOfMind27 February 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I found the scene between Mac and Claire in the empty lab corridor really really melodramatic. Melodrama has its place – in Grey's Anatomy, not in a procedural crime drama. In fact the whole episode was just …. I don't know, trying too hard? I mean I liked the structure with the flashforwards and backwards in time and Mac having a "ghost" scene with each character but overall it was just too cheesy for this sort of show to work. But once I got over that then ….

Favourite parts: - Flack mentioning Mac saving his life! 'Charge Of This Post' - Still one of my favourite episodes of the show.

  • Flack mentioning the fact that he didn't get to tell Jess that she loved her before she died and his conversation with Mac about this – HUGE CHEERS FOR THIS! Flack still misses her! Bless, I actually would have thought he would have moved on by now. Favourite moment of the season right here.

  • Everything that came out of Flack's mouth during this episode.

  • Christine/Jo banter about Mac's middle name.

  • Mac and Hawkes mentioning Camille.

  • Lindsay/ginger cat.

  • The school bus yard. Lindsay firing her gun! - Mac/Lucy/Lindsay/Danny <3 <3 <3 <3.

  • The final scene with Claire. Yes, I was finally moved.

  • The final group scene with Mac's return.

Next season I do not want Adam out of the lab full time. No, no, no, don't make him a CSI. I will cry. He is the only character in this show that I've never been able to think about growing to like. Don't give him more screen time.

Anyway, this would have been the perfect series finale. In fact I'm sad that it's not going to be because they can't top this creatively and logic dictates that if they know that next season's finale is going to be the series finale, they're going to lay on more melodrama …..

CSI:NY may well win the prize for the most false-series finales before the end.

Bad-ass Episode My Favorite
NightmareOnElmStreetFan7 November 2020
I don't know why MysteryRidah wrote this episode is cringe because I disagree. Huge fan of all three CSI shows. I actually think that CSI NY actually is my favorite show of the three. Mac Taylor is a bad-ass. You all forgot that actor Gary Sinise played the bad guy a corrupt police officer in Ransom (1996) with Mel Gibson. The reason why I love this episode is because the actress Kirsty Lee Allan who plays Teena Milford, (she is the one that shot Mac) is so hot and sexy babe. She is the reason to watch this episode. The final chase at night in the school buses parking lot is the best of the episode and it is my favorite scene of the episode.

The story still has problems, umm they should have done more with explanation like why was that pharmacy robbed by a boyfriend and girlfriend. Where they high on drugs. It wasn't explained. The best actor to me is Eddie Cahill as Don Flack, he is a bad-ass. He is the reason why I love watching this show. This was the first time I watched whole eight season completely. I saw years ago all seven seasons but never season 8 and 9 before and I loved it.

The near death scene in which Mac seeing him self could have been done much better executed. Like they did in Beverly Hills 90210 Episode 10 The Dreams of Dylan McKay and Street Justice Season 2 Episode 1 Death Warmed Over. The rest with the episode and flashbacks I don't have problems. Teena Milford is sexy she looks like Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton from T2) on a bus when she is shooting at Danny.

I give this episode 10 and no Sela Ward is not cringe, she is a good guy and a good actress. Season 8 is great. They still could return Vanessa Ferlito as Aiden Burn and Stella Bonasera (Melina Kanakaredes ), but that didn't happen, shame.

Cringe through the whole thing
MyEinsamkeit20 June 2017
Can i say this right off the bat, that Christine Whitney and Mac Taylor have no chemistry at all. And sadly she's in about 7 more episodes, ugh. I can't stand them together, she sounds like she is force to sound convincing , and Mac, seems force to smile. Throughout out this whole episode i was cringing and almost stopped watching it. They don't make a great couple, even Mac's wife who died 9/11 doesn't fit good with him. The best relationship imo was with Peyton Driscoll. Not even sure why they got rid of her.

Sela Ward performance was cringe as well. She doesn't sound convincing when crying, it sounds fake and she looks phony. Sela Ward is a very attractive woman, and at times her performance is alright, but sometimes its hard to watch. Most of the time she is carrying around that stupid notepad, she behaves nothing like a cop, more like a school guidance counselor and looks like one as well.

Besides that, the whole had its highlights, but for the most part it was boring, awful to watch, bad acting, stupid flashbacks, never again.
