Worst Simpsons episode to date.
28 July 2013 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

Normally I enjoy watching The Simpsons, although recently I believe that the episodes have been going downhill ever since they introduced modern cultural references such as "Mapple", its the ultimate way to sell out and try to get more young audience because they can connect more to the material, and this episode is the cream on the sell out pie. Shameless self-promotion of Lady Gaga in an attempt to try to say to kids "Look kids, we know what you like, and adding modern references means we don't need funny jokes or any smart material, please like us!". And this isn't the only problem, the plot line is incredibly weak, consisting of Lady Gaga just trying to make people feel better (Seriously this plot is more sappy than the Care Bears if they were covered in candy and glitter!) and the jokes in the episode just aren't funny, this seems to be a major problem with the more recent Simpsons episodes.

Overall I'd say definitely skip this one. Worst Simpsons episode to date.
