- Rachel and Kurt pay a visit to Lima as the Glee Club launches its production of "Grease." Meanwhile, Santana returns to lend a helping hand.
- Will tells the kids about leaving for DC and the fact he'll be gone until after sectionals. The kids are furious, even after he introduces Finn.
Sue pulls Will and Finn into Figgins' office. She points out his lack of a degree or certification. She threatens to resume her feud with the arts if Finn is allowed to run Glee.
Cassandra has brought in some upperclassmen to help the dancers. Rachel tells Brody that she has an off-Broadway audition for a director named Ivan. Cassandra tells Rachel she's not ready for Ivan. She thinks Rachel isn't tough enough yet and recommends she skip the audition. Cassandra asks Brody if he wants to be her new TA.
Kitty returns to the musical and immediately notices that Marley seems to have put on some weight. We see that Kitty has secretly been taking in her costumes to make her think she's getting fat. Kitty invites the girls to a sleepover.
Marley asks her mother when she started gaining weight. She tells her about not fitting into the Sandy costume and a worry that her genetics are catching up with her. She tells Marley they'll start a diet together.
Sue refuses to let Finn into the faculty lounge. He apologizes for what he said about her baby. Sue has reserved the auditorium for Cheerios practice, meaning the musical will have to find another place.
Finn is forced to hold rehearsal at the body shop. They treat it as full method practice for the period of the musical. Led by Ryder, the guys sing "Greased Lightnin.'"
Cassandra tells Rachel and Kurt they should both see the Grease, if only to try and get some closure. She offers Rachel her frequent flyer miles.
During the sleepover Kitty tells Marley about making yourself throw up as a diet technique. The girls sing "Look at Me, I'm Sandra Dee."
Figgins brings Unique's parents into his office. They had no idea that their son was cast in a female role and are concerned for his safety. They are pulling him from the play and asking him to dress like a boy at school. Sue is responsible for telling Unique's parents.
Santana is brought in to play Rizzo. Tina is upset they didn't ask her.
Rachel and Kurt return to McKinley and run into Mercedes.
Despite starving herself Marley still can't fit into the costume. Kitty comes over and brings her to the bathroom to throw up. Kurt runs into Blaine. Rachel tells Finn about her upcoming audition.
The play begins. We see Blaine sing "Beauty School Dropout."
Ryder finds Marley in the bathroom throwing up. He tells her what she's doing will only make thinks worse. He tells her a story about a relative who was wrestler and after trying a number of crazy diets ended up crapping himself during a match.
Santana and Brittany talk before her big number, which is a sad number. They talk about her pulling from a sad memory.
Santana sings "There Are Worse Things I Could Do." She is joined by Unique in the audience and Cassandar in New York. Cassandra is dancing with Brody and the two eventually begin to kiss.
Mike tells Tina he wonders if they shouldn't have broken up in the first place. She agrees. Just before Ryder and Marley go onstage Kitty tells them a tough critic is in the audience. Ryder and Marley kiss and Jake sees this.
Marley and Ryder perform "You're the One That I Want." Finn and Rachel flashback to when they had those roles. When it's over the crowd jumps to its feet.
Rachel leaves and calls Brody in the bathroom. Cassandra answers his phone and brags about sleeping with him. She seems to have done it just to teach Rachel a lesson. Rachel is devastated.
Rachel tells Finn she shouldn't have come. It's "too weird." He thanks her for coming. He asks why she's upset and he realizes it's about Brody. Blaine wants to talk to Kurt but he says he's not interested. Blaine wants to tell him what happened. Kurt is emotional and says he doesn't trust him anymore. Both Rachel and Kurt say McKinley doesn't feel like home anymore.
Artie reads the cast a rave review of Grease. Will says he knows he's leaving them in good hands with Finn. On his way out Will starts to give Finn some advice. He tells Will "I got this."
