Glee Makeover
28 September 2012 | by (Ireland) – See all my reviews

Blaine wants to be on top so he joins a lot of clubs to fill the void of not having Kurt in school anymore. So Blaine decides to run for president opposite Brittany. Kurt is going for job at Vogue.com where Isabella Klempt (Sarah Jessica Parker) is interviewing Kurt for the job. She seems to be the anti-Cassandra as she is a mentor who is nice to her student. Brittany enlists Artie to help her win the president spot again. Will is out of ideas and Sue tells him his future. Sam is now Blaine's running mate and does not know what a debate is. Back at Vogue and the idea is Leather and Isabella is not into it and has to fake in front of her staff except for Kurt who she can be honest to. Preparing for the Debate gives us "Celebrity Skin" as Brittany and Sam don't feel ready for running for Office. I guess more Will means more voice-over which is so boring to get through. About 20 minutes into the episode and we get our first sight of Rachel who needs help when making an impression on these new yorkers. So Kurt brings her to Bogue to help her with the music video makeover which makes Isabella very inspired to help out. There three person duet is a mix of "The Way You Look Tonight/Never Fully Dressed", which is sweet song and all of three singers voices just go so well together. Kurt then talks to Blaine but can only talk about himself which makes Blaine feel left out as he is still in Ohio. Debate time and Sue is in charge of the debate. It's Sam versus Artie and Artie goes on for hours and Sam when in response to his question strips. Then it's Blaine and Brittany time and Blaine complains about her term last year while she wants them to be in school all year round. Kurt gets a great from Anna Wintor and he shares a quick scene with his mentor Isabella. Rachel and Bordy sing "A Change Would DoYou Good" and it just makes me want them to be together even more and more then her being with boring Finn. Votes are in and Anderson/Evans win the election. Blaine try's to call Kurt and he is so happy he declines the call. The writers seem to be setting up this relationship between Sam and Brittany even though I thought she was a Lesbian. Dinner time with Brody/Rachel and she sets the duck on fire. With Moon River (R.I.P. Andy Williams) it makes the moment romantic but then there is Finn in to disturb all the fun. SJP was great and she hasn't sung in such a long time. I hope next weeks episode means that Finn may be gone due to the breakup.

EPISODE GRADE: B+ (MVP: Chris Colfer)
