Storyline

Beck starts his training with Tron but gets caught when trying to return to the city. However it is here he realizes that although some blame the "renegade" for the strict rules on the city at present, others look to him as a beacon of hope for all programs. But it is not until he is thrown into the "games" that he comes to realize this. Written by Chaos_Zephyr

More Up Up than Down Down

Plot; After bowing out of his training with Tron, feeling he's not up to the challenge, Beck is caught by security and forced to fight in the games, where he learns that his activities as the "renegade" have begun to inspire other programs.

Reasonably strong second episode, with Beck following the standard hero's journey by refusing the call. I was a bit surprised by how quickly he went from "Okay, Tron, let's do this!" to "No thanks, Tron. I can't do this!", but it serves its purpose. Once again the animation is beautiful and the soundtrack a highlight. I'm trying to warm up to Beck, but so far he's not as appealing as I'd have liked. The same can be said for his friends. The villains have potential, but they need to be brought to the forefront.
