Ever dream of becoming a star? Dancing, acting, singing your way to the top? Of coarse you have. Shatterd Pitch a film written and directed by Rafael Soto is the story a young girl trying to do just that, starring Chad L. Coleman, who is no stranger to acting, having been acting since 1992 through the ranks from hit shows like Law & Order, to Expanse, and The Walking Dead, very seasoned actor and well deserved. He is a music producer and one night at the club with Rachel(Dawn Noel) he's introduced to Bailey( Lyndsay Haldorson). Lyndsay plays Bailey perfectly, the naive young mid western gal looking for big dreams, and turns out, has the voice to get her there. Rachel a starlet herself, both looking for the break they need, Sammy( Chad Coleman) sets up a meeting with a top music producer to have her see what she's made of, Alex Parker( Ava Gaudet). I wish there was more Ava throughout this film, very good on screen presence. Before long Sammy and Bailey begin to have a relationship, over time this relationship is turning south, her friendship with Rachel is bringing her down, drinking and drugs are coming into play, blowing auditions, giving Sammy a bad reputation in the industry. The end result is a troubled relationship with drugs and alcohol, and the news that Bailey, is now pregnant. This films continuity is what I question throughout, almost seems like there's a few deleted scenes that needed to be there, talented acting from Chad, Dawn, and Lyndsay, even Ava, which I wish there was more of, was on point. The writing and directing needed some polish, but overall an entertaining watch from beginning to end.
