Storyline

Matthew Lillard plays Gabe Erickson, former investor/broker indicted for stealing $130 million from clients and laundering cash for other clients like the Godfather of NY, Don Paolo Brancato. Erickson hid $50 million before his arrest. The team's client saw Erickson, not behind bars, but playing golf. Eliot scans surveillance photos and determines from the weaponry Erickson is in Wit Sec, trading testimony for jail time. Parker and Hardison go on a trash run to learn Erickson's passion: classic cars, as Nate concocts a hyper-elaborate scheme, starring a car show and a vintage Packard 1101 Coupe. Two "men of respect" shake hands over cappuccino as cars and heads roll. Written by LA-Lawyer

Trivia

Erickson's passwords to his secret bank account are Boesky, Milken, and Steinbrenner. Ivan Boesky and Michael Milken were involved in a huge insider-trading scandal in the mid-1980s, and went to prison. George Steinbrenner was the owner of the New York Yankees, famous for his prodigious spending on ballplayers. He also plead guilty to charges of making an illegal campaign contribution to Richard Nixon (and a related charge of obstruction of justice), and was penalized by Major League Baseball for paying Howie Spira to dig up dirt on one of his players (Dave Winfield). Goofs

Throughout the show, every time a handgun is seen a cocking sound is heard with no movement of the slide on the gun. The handguns shown were all modern hammerless guns that would only make that sound if the slide were cycled. See more »

Quotes

Alec Hardison: Now, let me just roll this back for a second, Nate. You knew that that Mussolini car would drive Erickson crazy; so crazy that he would call his old car contact, access secret bank accounts, turn on his Marshal babysitter, and almost get taken out by the mob guys that he planned to testify against?
Nathan Ford: Mm-hmm.
Alec Hardison: That's, like, five different things nobody could have ever known would happen.
Nathan Ford: I only knew three of the five.
Alec Hardison: Ah. I knew it. See, which three?
[Nate smirks, but doesn't reply, and walks away]
Alec Hardison: ...
