- The Buchanan's next clean-up job is at the Maabade Zoo where a gamekeeper, Glen, was clubbed over the head with a shovel. Zoo tour guide Lorcan tells them Glen had broken up with his girlfriend Marie the week before and that Glen was bitter about the whole thing. The police find a bloodstained shirt in Reg's locker and suspect he may have wanted to replace Glen on an upcoming trip to his home country, Zambia. Nicola and Peter think the police have the wrong guy and initially suspect the chief gamekeeper, Larry. An inspection of Marie's house suggests that she left in quite a hurry and the police find her car at the airport. When they find Marie's body buried on the zoo grounds, Nicola can't figure out why the killer would have buried her but not Glen. A cigarette lighter is the clue that helps them solve the case.—garykmcd
