Anachronisms

During the mission "Suffer With Me", which takes place in the 1989 invasion of Panama, US soldiers are seen with M16A1 rifles. The M16A1, which was the standard assault rifle used in Vietnam, had been phased out of service by the late 1980s. During the 1989 Panama invasion, US troops were equipped with the upgraded M16A2.
During the first flashback, when Woods is describing the film canister falling from the satellite, he states it was picked up by a C-130 Hercules aircraft. The aircraft on screen, however; is a C-17 Globemaster which wasn't introduced into service until 1993. The aircraft's real-life jet engines have been replaced by turboprop engines.

In the intro clip, Woods says that the pod ejected from the recon satellite was picked up by a C-130, while the video depicts what appears to be a C-17 with propellers.
