Charlie, an artist who seeks a connection between her work and her estranged father's music, teams up with Louie, an obsessive record collector from Memphis, and together they begin an exhaustive search for a rare 45 recording from the 1960s Arkansas garage rock scene that takes them both on a journey across the seldom-explored landscape of the new Old South. As I grow older I find value in vintage items. I love looking at old record and find them such relics of a simpler past. In 45RPM, you find Charlie Clark on an odyssey to find the one record that her lost father produced. She is always on a lookout for this on a lark leaves down south. There Louis Traxler extends a friendly hand to this Quixote quest. Louis if full of fun musical facts and lost dreams, which ignite the focus and creativity needed to help Charlie find her inner voice. This makes for an odd pair, but both are on a their own distinct path. Some beautifully filmed scenes that capture the beauty and simplicity of the rural south. This is a journey that leads to self discover and the value of pursuing your dreams. Directed by Juli Jackson I saw 45RPM film as part of the Atlanta Film Festival.
