Nick Aldwinckle Aug 10, 2016

Blood Bath, The Beast With 1,000,000 Eyes and Return Of The Killer Tomatoes: it's our latest DVD and Blu-ray round-up...

Britain is in a state of turmoil, with Brexit, political leadership spinning out of control and social media civil war already underway. As such, it has perhaps never been a more appropriate time for a release of John De Bello and Stephen Peace’s 1988 meditation on the path towards peace and racial tolerance, Return Of The Killer Tomatoes, out on Arrow Bluray.

Set ten years after the events of the Great Tomato War, as depicted in uncompromising detail in De Bello and Peace’s earlier epic, Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes, tomatoes – following the mutant, sentient, strain responsible for the deaths of many citizens – are now outlawed in the Us. As with all the best banned items, killer tomatoes have now gone underground, with a thriving black market »

Henry Rollins was up for the role of Negan in ‘The Walking Dead’

17 June 2016 12:02 AM, PDT | The Hollywood News | See recent The Hollywood News news »

We’re all on tender hooks waiting for the new season of The Walking Dead after that cliffhanger. Looking at our watches, you’ve still got about four months or so to wait until that is all resolved, but here’s a little news bite revolving around the character of Negan (played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan) show made a huge impression in the final episode of season six.

It seems that Jdm wasn’t the only actor up for the role as Henry Rollins has revealed in a recent interview with Simon Thompson over on Forbes that he also audition for the role, which was apparently based on him.

“Since I didn’t get the part I can tell you this,” Rollins said. “I was up for the role of Negan because Charlie Adlard, who worked on the comic book, based that guy on me and so I was a shoo-in for an audition. »

10 quick questions with Henry Rollins about ‘He Never Died’

9 March 2016 9:31 AM, PST | Blogomatic3000 | See recent Blogomatic3000 news »

One of my favourite films from last years Grimmfest was the stunning vampire movie come theological horror He Never Died, (review) which sees Henry Rollins play Jack, a social outcast, who is thrust out of his comfort zone when the outside world bangs on his door and he can’t contain his violent past. As it turns out, there are very few reasons to live when you can’t die…

With He Never Died coming to streaming service We Are Colony, we’ve teamed up with them (they know just how much I Love the film!) to bring you this special quickfire Q&A with Henry Rollins. And if you want to know more, you can see He Never Died, along with behind-the-scenes extras – like the one at the end of this interview – on We Are Colony at www.wearecolony.com/he-never-died

What was the first film that truly made an impact on you? »

1 February 2016 9:20 PM, PST | FilmSchoolRejects.com | See recent FilmSchoolRejects news »

Welcome back to This Week In Discs where we check out tomorrow’s new releases today! He Never Died Jack (Henry Rollins) is something of a loner. He eats at the same diner every day, he plays Bingo at the same church every week, and he meets the same immoral hospital intern every few days to buy… something. He has little need for anyone else but that begins to change when two women come into his life. Cara is a waitress at the diner, and while Jack is a man of few words he’s still managed to hit it off with her to some small degree. Andrea’s face is brand new to him, but an angry phone call from an old fling he hasn’t heard from in roughly nineteen years informs him that the girl at his door is his daughter. His life suddenly grows busier and far more complicated, and »
