The new boss at B&U has a scary idea: A melody grand prix for children who have to compete against each other. The children become huge stars and the show becomes a huge hit with families throughout the country.
Everyone is surprised that MGP got so big and that the show did not end after the winner was announced. Children and parents are not used to navigating the music world and some have to pull the plug.
The rule that the children must write their songs is not respected and a tightening is needed. In the meantime, people other than the children receive the money for the songs the children perform in MGP.
Over the years, the rules have been changed and today the MGP production team looks different. While the early MGP stars are still working through their experiences and themselves, they have paved the way for a new generation of MGP's.
