Bret Hart & The Hart Foundation start the show. Before Bret can speak, Degeneration X appears on the titantron. Shawn Michaels says he's gonna save the crowd before Bret puts them all to sleep. Shawn shows footage of wiping his nose with the Canadian flag. Triple H says he's better than Bret and bigger than him. Bret challenges Shawn or Hunter to come down and face him. Shawn says he already beat Bret for the title at Wrestlemania 12. Shawn says they are gonna call themselves Degeneration X. You make the rules and they will break them.
Owen Hart Vs Kama Mustafa
The match ends in a double DQ after The Nation brawls with The Hart Foundation. Shawn Michaels just taunts Bret while he's getting beaten up. This was dominated by DX's juvenile antics. Some of it was funny, others it was just annoying.

Max Mini & Super Nova Vs Mosiac & Tarantula
Ugh...midget matches. Actually, this was entertaining for what it was. There were a lot of high-flying stunts. I detest midget matches, but this was better than most.

Shawn Michaels Vs Flash Funk
Kane comes out instead and destroys Flash Funk. Paul Bearer says The Undertaker will never rest in peace. Shawn Michaels runs down and pins Flash Funk with Triple H counting the three. Degeneration X celebrates like Shawn just won the title.
8-Ball & Skull Vs Recon & Sniper (The Truth Commission)
8-Ball & Skull win by DQ. I didn't give a damn about this match. It was hard to pay attention to. The DOA may have been popular back then, but they don't hold up very well.

'Stone Cold' Steve Austin starts off hour two. Austin has to sign the contract to face Owen Hart at Survivor Series. Austin says it's too easy and he wants Vince to sign first because he doesn't trust him as far as he could throw him. Austin asks the crowd if he should trust Vince. The crowd responds with a resounding no. Vince signs, then Austin does. Austin says there is only one thing left to do. Austin tells Vince to shake his hand and not to make a mess out of his pants. (Haha) Vince refuses to shake it, but eventually does. Austin pulls Vince back in and says he could turn his lights off just like that. Vince asks why Austin screwed Farooq. Austin says Farooq was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He has no problem with Farooq, but Austin does what he wants, when he wants. Farooq says Austin sacrificed himself to The Nation. Austin says he didn't understand a word Farooq said. He challenges any member of The Nation to come down to the ring and face him. Rocky Maivia runs down and gets stunned immediately. Austin bolts through the crowd.
The Legion of Doom claim they will retire tonight if they can't beat The Godwinns for the titles. Animal even takes a shot at Randy Savage.
Brian Christopher Vs Tajiri
Christopher wins after he pulls the tights of Tajiri. I enjoyed parts of this match, thanks to Tajiri's innovative offense. He made it fun to watch.

Jim Conette goes on a rant about Phil Mushnick. For those that don't know, he worked for the New York Post and always criticized wrestling.
Goldust Vs Savio Vega
Goldust levels Vega with Marlena's purse to get the win. Was that finish really necessary? Goldust could have easily beaten Vega clean. Vega didn't need that much protection.

Triple H vs The Patriot
Ugh! I don't know who I hate more. Luckily, the match doesn't even get underway because Rick Rude comes out and throws hot coffee in The Patriot's face and attacks him with the briefcase. Sgt. Slaughter comes out and orders Triple H to wrestle Ahmed Johnson.
Triple H Vs Ahmed Johnson
This match doesn't take place because The Nation of Domination attacks Ahmed until LOD and Ken Shamrock make the save. OK then.... I guess this feud is still going on.
Tag Team Titles
The Godwinns (C) Vs The Legijon of Doom
The Legion of Doom win the titles. The Godwinns beat up Uncle Cleatus after the match and break his nose. The match wasn't very good, but it was really well booked. They did a good job at creating doubt whether LOD would lose or not. Just for that, I have to give it credit. The match sucked, though.

This is a step down. Raw was on a roll and this episode is just above average. It's not bad by any means, just kinda forgettable. I felt there was too much of DX. If you like them, you'll love it. If you don't, you'll get tired of it quickly. I don't mind them, but I can only take them in small doses.
