Episode cast overview:
Nick Lashaway ...

Hannah agrees to accompany Jessa upstate to visit Salvatore, Jessa's estranged father, by who she felt physically and emotionally abandoned, especially when she needed someone on her side when it was just her and her mother. This request by Salvatore to visit was just the latest in a long series, all others which Jessa declined. Upon their arrival, Hannah learns from Salvatore's new hippie wife, Petula, what she sees as Hannah's metaphysical purpose for accompanying Jessa on this trip, especially as she knows that Jessa does not like her. The trip does not end up quite as Jessa had thought it would, she and Hannah spending much of their time with Jessa's nineteen year old step-brother, Frank, and Frank's friend, Tyler. But a situation between Jessa and Salvatore and Hannah getting some alone time gives Hannah a better perspective of her own family situation. Written by Huggo

A road trip for Hannah and Jessa with Jessa visiting her father and his new wife. The episode I have to admit was not funny and probably the worst of the season so far. Firstly Jessa has been a great character this season but the character of her father really was not interesting and I was just bored throughout. However the one scene that really moved me was Jessa and her father on the swings with her breaking down in front of him but once again he disappoints her. The departure of Jessa was quite surprising and I wonder what it will mean for the character for the rest of the season. When Hannah called her mom while peeing it was just awkward and did not work. Hannah throughout the episode was bland and nothing really special as she became a wasted character and those scenes with the young guys just was awful to watch. The episode as a whole was weak.

EPISODE GRADE: B- (MVP: Jermima Kirke)
