The Voice Blind Auditions Part 5
18 September 2012 | by (Ireland) – See all my reviews

Night Five and the competition is on. The first artist tonight is Trevanne Howell a young mother at 17 who comes to the voice to sing "I Have Nothing" she is still not able to get any of the judges to turn around and that is because her vocals were very shaky which is what I agree with. Second tonight is Collin McLoughlin who was a music business student who dropped out because of his parents non-believe in his dreams, tonight he puts it all on the line by singing "Wild World?", he is able to get the male judges to turn around picking Adam as his coach in the end. Third tonight is 17 year old Joselyn Rivera who was born to early which made her have problems that could be solved by doctor prescribed music, she sings "Stonger", getting Christina and Blake to turn around and after some abusing remarks she picks Christina as her coach.

Second part of my review and we start with Benji a race car drive who comes to voice to try his singing on the show. He is singing "Kockin' on Heaven's Door" by Guns N' Roses. He was able to get Adam and Cee Lo to turn around picking Adam as his coach. Once Benji gets in we get a montage of artists going onto Cee Lo's team after he lost Benji to Adam. Next is 52 year old Lorraine Ferro who makes a case for herself that she is what a confident 52 year old looks like also she is a bit of a character screaming and jumping all over the place. So for her audition she sings "Skyscraper" she was unable to get any of the judges to turn around and the judges still get to see her over the top, loud and acting like a little five year old. The final contestant of the night is Mycle Wastman who lost his parents young, he comes here today singing "Let's Stay Together" he is able to get all the male judges to turn around, he then decides to join team Cee Lo.

EPISODE GRADE: B+ (MVP: Collin McLoughlin)
