Totally disappointed
11 October 2012 | by (Dallas) – See all my reviews

The League has been one of my favorite comedy shows since the first season began. The unscripted, natural flow of the show is what really drew me in. It is a hilarious show because it is unscripted, it's funny because it's natural and believable.

But this. This is not what I signed up for when I tuned my TV to FX to see the new season of my beloved show. The characters are unnatural, scripted, and stiff. I feel like the producers wanted to shove in as many NFL players into the show and that the actual acting and substance of this episode was an afterthought. They overused lines from previous seasons, took away the distinct personalities of the characters, and instead shoved in generic slapstick in its place. I am thoroughly disappointed by this episode and I hope and pray that the rest of this season is not like this episode. That would be a crime, and the biggest fall from grace since the third Godfather.
