- Forty years old is a perfect age to change ones life. The hero makes a decision to quit the psychotherapist's cabinet, which he is sick and tired of and become a poet. To become a freelance artist. A trifle remained to cope with to persuade the wife.—Anonymous
- Our hero Tolik comes from a long line of doctors, but is fired from his job as a result of a fist-fight with some patients. However, he chooses to view this event as a positive and a chance to start a new life. Finally his dream of being a "free" poet will come true and maybe, if he's lucky, fame and fortune will follow as his poetry is actually quite good. How lovely it will be to have his old friend Slavik along for the ride. Slavik knows everything: the meaning of life, how to make money, how to be happy. He drags our hero into a row of absurd situations, in which Tolik ends up loosing almost everything. It seems that family drama and adventured with Slavik will be the very inspiration for truly masterful poetry later comprising an entire collection.
