If you enjoy musical theater, this 3-part show is for you. You will probably find it on PBS.
Sixty high school students--all winners who qualified for the trip to NYC--are taken to Broadway where they are schooled in vocal, dance and acting techniques. At the end of five days, they compete against each other. The male and female winners are awarded The Jimmy and $10,000.
But they all are winners, because they receive invaluable advice and instruction plus the opportunity to appear on a Broadway stage.
And we are winners because we get not only entertainment, but a chance to share their journeys, filled with laughter and tears.
Broadway is a business, but these young talents are in it for love. You cannot help being affected by their talents and their efforts.
