Roland Reed replaced Jannes Eiselen as Dufresne in Season 2 after Eiselen was diagnosed with brain cancer; Eiselen survived the removal of the tumor, but surgery & recovery prevented him from meeting Season 2's production schedule and Reed has kept the role since. See more
In the opening title sequence, one of the ivory figures holds a musket with a "spike," or epee, bayonet. Spike bayonets weren't invented until the 1880s, far outside the scope of the Age of Piracy and the series. See more
