Live from Birmingham, AL

The nWo assault Randy Savage, Lex Luger, and Sting in the parking lot before the show.

Goldberg Vs Fit Finlay

Goldberg gets a monstrous pop. Goldberg absolutely destroys Finlay with ease. WCW got it right with Goldberg.

1/4* out of 5

Chavo Guerrero Vs Psychosis

Psychosis wins with a Guilotine Leg Drop from the top. Decent enough match between these two, as to be expected. Psychosis winning was kind of surprising.

**1/4 out of 5

Hollywood Hogan and Eric Bischoff come out. Hogan says Savage has seen the nWo light. He cuts the same promo he's been cutting, essentially since he lost the title to Sting at Starrcade. Not knocking Hogan. Hogan's great and one of my all time favorites. But he's doing nothing new.

Booker T Vs Scotty Riggs

Booker wins easily and finishes Riggs off with the Scissors kick. Not much else to say other than this was to give Booker some momentum heading into his match with Rick Martel at Superbrawl.

* out of 5

Mike Tenay tries to interview Lex Luger while he's being taped up. He basically tells Tenay to F off.

Juventud Guerrera Vs Billy Kidman

Juvi wins with the 450 splash. Chris Jericho attacks Juvi after the match and manages to take his mask off, but Juvi is wearing another one underneath it and gets the best of Jericho. Average match, but clever booking with Juvi and Jericho.

** out of 5

The Outsiders Vs Mike Enos & Wayne Bloom

Holy crap! It's The Outsiders Vs The Beverly Brothers. Nash powerbombs Bloom and knocks out the ref. This was simply here to put over Nash as an anarchist. Oh, he also gets arrested for the 40 billionth time.

3/4* out of 5

Rick Rude, Curt Hennig & Brian Adams come out. Rick Rude says there are a lot of dweebs in WCW. Rude asks Hennig why he chose Bret "The I Quit" Hart to pick on. Ouch. The British Bulldog & Jim Neidhart come out. Turns out, a match is starting.

Curt Hennig & Brian Adams Vs The British Bulldog & Jim Neidhart

The match ends in a no-contest when Bulldog and Neidhart get outnumbered. The crowd is chanting "We want Bret"

The Steiner Brothers have an interview. It's too short to recap.

La Parka Vs Super Calo

La Parka wins. Disco Inferno tries to attack La Parka, but gets his ass beat instead.

*1/2 out of 5

Chris Jericho says he's seen Juventud Guerrera's face and he's really ugly. He looks like Quasimodo and says Juvi should wear the name QuasiJuice on his tights. Haha! He says he might let him keep his mask so he doesn't have to subject his Jerichhoilics to it. Haha!

Cruiserweight Title

Chris Jericho (C) Vs Dean Malenko

Jericho wins by submission cleanly. Didn't expect Jericho to get a clean win. Solid match, but I wanted more.

**1/4 out of 5

Chris Benoit & DDP Vs Raven & Saturn

Benoit and DDP win. Really fun match! The crowd was red hot and it was consistently exciting. All four men are extremely talented, so you knew it had the chance to be a good one.

*** out of 5

The nWo come out, dragging someone out in Savage's gear on with a mask. It's Savage with a Sting mask on. Lex Luger and Sting save the day as Thunder goes off the air.

This was a solid show from top to bottom. Fun matches and it doesn't have the dreaded third hour like Nitro does to make things too much.
