Abigail Diaries!
29 December 2013 | by (India) – See all my reviews

Hannibal is doing exactly the opposite of what he was appointed for. Rather than helping Will he is trying to plunges him deeper and deeper into insanity.

Abigail Hobbs wakes up and is accused of accompanying her father in the butchering of the girls. It is believed she was the bait used for luring the girls to her psychopath father. The degree of the truth in this accusation is explored in this episode.

In my opinion Abigail turns out to be smarter than Graham or equally as smart as him and Hannibal. (spoiler) She is able to figure out Hannibal as the copycat killer and she can easily understand Will's Traumatic and emphatic disorders.(end of spoiler). I was very impressed by young Kacey's performance. Hannibal seems to be keen on proving Will wrong and rather break him. Anyways a nice story and I was glad NOT to see another serial killer introduced out of nowhere. More and more serial killer might throw Will too much into it. But it more or less degrades the purpose of the story. I want to see more of Will and Hannibal but not more killings and gore imagery. We have walking Dead for it.

Direction: Good.

Story/Screenplay: Fine, refined and strong.

Acting: Kacey is excellent, Dancy and Mads are good as always, others are average.

Music: Great.

Overall a nice episode with Hannibal in action.
