It's official: It's time to say goodbye to Olivia Pope.

Scandal will air its seventh and final season this coming fall, ABC announced Tuesday, confirming earlier reports that the Kerry Washington-led political fixer drama was nearing its end. George Newbern, who plays Charlie, has been promoted to series regular for the final season.

The decision to end Scandal, which has anchored ABC's popular (and successful) Tgit lineup on Thursdays, came from creator and executive producer Shonda Rhimes, who felt it was time to bid farewell to these beloved characters and that they are "going all out" in the final season.

In his latest, Levine is tackling mother-daughter bonding (and snatchin') and Et phoned the director to discuss the road to bringing Hawn out of semi-retirement, doing improv with Schumer and the movie he would like to direct with Jennifer Lawrence.

Snatched Director Jonathan Levine On The Amy Schumer-Goldie Hawn Comedy

Levine first got attention for his early indie The Wackness, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2008, and he followed that by adapting the young adult zombie romance Warm Bodies, then making the cancer comedy 50/50 and the Christmas comedy The Night Before, the latter two with Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

In Snatched, Amy Schumer plays Emily Middleton, who has plans to go to South America on a romantic trip with her boyfriend, but when he breaks up with her she asks her mother Linda (Hawn) to make the trip with her.  Once there, the two are constantly fighting, but »
