The final episode's guests were Morgan Freeman, Susan Sarandon, Valerie Harper, Martina McBride, and Josh Groban. In his first appearance on the show, Groban brought flowers and noted that he'd wanted to appear sooner but had been on tour.
In the show's final moments, Couric thanked her staff and her audience for their support and noted that it felt like the end of an era -- even though the era has only lasted two years.
Couric is moving to Yahoo! where she will serve as a global anchor for the site. »
Turns out working with Meryl Streep and Jeff Bridges isn't as intimidating as you might think. "It was [intimidating] at first, but you know, they're kinda so chilled out that you just don't really worry about it after awhile," said "The Giver" actor Brenton Thwaites (a.k.a. Jonas) of his legendary co-stars at San Diego Comic-Con. "When you meet such famous actors that you're been watching since you were...since I was like five years old...you get this kind of image in your head of what they'll be like, and the reality of how they really are always surprises you. I guess with Jeff and Meryl, they just surprise me on how cool they are, and how it's the same for all of us, you know?" So they're actual human beings? How is this possible? Certainly Brenton's co-star Odeya Rush will give us some dish? "Well the thing is, »

Jimmy, you big (kinda) softy. On Monday night, late-night host Jimmy Kimmel revealed pictures of his daughter, Jane - who was born on July 10 - though he did so in a decidedly Kimmel-esque manner. Kimmel announced that on the show's two-week hiatus, he did some painting around the house, grew a beard and, oh yeah, had a baby. "We had a little girl, we named her after my grandmother - her name is Grandma Kimmel," Jimmy continued. "Here she is with a bow on," he said, cueing another pic. "She's drunk as a skunk right there." "She weighed six pounds, »

Fired New York Times executive editor Jill Abramson continued her media tour on Thursday with a sit-down with Katie Couric for Yahoo News, where they rehashed, once again, the details of her ousting from the news organization. This time around, Abramson downplayed the gossip that arose after her firing. When Couric referenced Abramson's former colleague David Carr, who described the newsroom as “Game of Thrones”-like, Abramson shot it down, saying, “Now we're really in the grassy knoll, Katie, and I don't want to jump in there with you… It's a newsroom. Most of the people there are trying to report. »

It was the question everybody wanted to ask—and it got so awkward when someone finally did.
NBC’s State of Affairs panel during the Television Critics Association press tour in Beverly Hills got a bit tense when the topic turned to Katherine Heigl, her mother Nancy (an executive producer on the upcoming series), and rumors about the pair’s reputation on set.
It started when a TCA reporter reminded Heigl about some of the controversial remarks she had to say about Hollywood, particularly focused on her conduct on set, whether her career was out of her control, and whether »

They have been staying very close on their trip and working out together in Italy. Jessica Simpson married Eric Johnson over the weekend. ABC’s “Good Morning America” will soon have new supervision in place over each of its two hours, the latest maneuver in a long, ongoing battle to maintain morning-show dominance over NBC’s venerable “Today.”

Molner, 51, and Couric, 57, have been dating since 2011, took their relationship public in 2012 and announced their engagement in September 2013.
