Storyline

Gary, former president of the Midnight Society, dreams that he approaches the fire and comes face-to-face with a demonic-looking creature and is begged by his grandfather Gene for help, then gets a call from his and Tucker's grandmother that Gene, the president of the original Midnight Society, has died and left a message for them. They tell the Midnight Society that the original members used a good-luck charm called the Silver Sight which turned into a curse for each member and may have been responsible for Gene's death. They split up to seek out the four surviving members, but someone or something seems set on stopping them before they discover the secret of how to destroy the Silver Sight.

When Gary tells the Midnight Society about the magic charm's being brought from a magic shop, Andy remarks, "Like the Magic Mansion", a reference to the place of business of Sardo, the character whom Gary told stories about in the original Are You Afraid of the Dark? series and they knew from Tucker in the Are You Afraid of the Dark? this aired during the middle of (specifically in Are You Afraid of the Dark?: The Tale of Oblivion).
