Not sure where all this negativity is from.
7 December 2012 | by (London) – See all my reviews

I thought this was an excellent series with the excellent Marton Csokas as the moody, brooding and complex Javier Falcón.

Falcón is a crime drama that prefers to look at the people in the crime rather than the formulaic evidence gathering of CSI, this gives is scope to explore the fiery passion and emotion of the characters and mirroring the Spanish surroundings.

It was cleverly performed, well written and a breath of fresh air to the genre. The plot is often so surprising in places, you never know quite what to expect. But the way it is written is that you discover the story alongside Javier. You learn about the people and the crimes with him. There is never the magical detail spotting or underhand 'fix-all' solution pulled from the hat that is so symptomatic of other crime dramas. You feel involved and intrigued.

I, personally, am disappointed that there was only 4 episodes, you really get a feeling for the characters and there isn't a single personality who you would complain learning more about. They're all very multi-faceted and not tired clichés.
