Should have been given a wide release...
22 October 2013 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This is the type of ghost story that needs to be seen by a wide audience. No doubt it will find a following via VOD and DVD but it certainly deserves more. The story is unique, the performances spot on, and is exactly the kind of film people on genre comment boards say they want to see but instead get remakes of old films that rarely do the original justice. That or endless "Paranormal" films that no longer scare or surprise.

Where are the new ideas people ask. They are here in this film and they are there in others like it; but you have to hunt for them: read about them on fan based forums, take chances on something unheard of. Sure, you may see a lot of crap, but every so often a film like "Haunter" makes it all worth it.
